About us!
Who are we?
We're the Vibe Club! We're a mixed-origin system with more than ten, but less than fifty, members! We share a collective appreciation of art, particularly music, and most of us love to make friends. We often refer to ourselves as Vibes or Vibemates, and collectively, we use they/them plural pronouns.
Most of us love questions, so feel free to ask if you have any! We would rather you not be misconstrued/confused. If your question is inappropriate, we'll let you know! Ask away!
You're also welcome to ask to talk to most members, and we'll try to see if they're here and tell you if they're not present or otherwise unable to talk to you. However, it's been difficult to contact Ashton when he's not in front, so you may not be able to talk to him if he's not fronting. We relay messages for people in co-con pretty often, so it can be quite quick for someone to get into co-con and then give messages to the fronter that they want them to pass on.
Fun facts about us!
We have synesthesia, a neurotype that causes us to associate sounds, letters, numbers, and symbols with colors, as well as sounds with textures. Some members of the system experience our synesthesia more strongly than others, and sometimes, when our identities in front are blendy, dissociated, and messy, we notice our synesthsia more.
Most of the older members of our system have unique colors assigned to them. For some members, like Jaren, Prince, and inferno, they picked these colors because they liked them. For others, like Evelith and Ashton, these colors were how our synesthesia perceived our names.
We strongly suspect we might be autistic but we've yet to get an assessment and we're reluctant to self-diagnose. Our possible autism means that we overthink our words a lot and fear saying things that are socially appropriate and we also stim a lot. We've been obsessed with sensory-stimulating objects since we were a child and we get quite obsessive over our interests. We often experience overwhelming joy, excitement, or awe over seemingly small things. The way our possible autism presents seems to differ from sysmate to sysmate and some of us experience autistic traits more strongly than others. We also differ in how strongly we believe we are autistic, with some of us being more skeptical and some of us being quite convinced.
We have an innerworld/headspace but we don't visit it that much, opting to imagine ourselves in a sort of void- without a backdrop- instead, or to project non-fronters into the outerworld. Our innerworld is a little house with a garden of plants and a wider flower meadow beyond the garden. The stars are beautiful at night.
Music plays a really big role in our system, and most of the people who have fronted a couple times have searched and found music that they like! We primarily use music to ground ourselves in front, and music may become actual front triggers that pull us to front. We play a couple instruments, including piano, (bass/soprano) B♭ clarinet, soprano/alto recorder, and violin. Some of us also create music, using music notation software as well as DAWs.
We have a parogenic member and a soulbond, but most of our system is endogenic! We also have a stressgenic subsystem.
